I use a Chefs Choice 665 electric slicer for things like thin slicing meats for sandwiches.

I like the 665 since it has a rotary screw adjustment for setting the depth of the slice. Previously, we had a unit with a lever bar, and it did not hold thickness settings consistently.

Over the weekend, something in the unit snapped. I contacted Williams-Sonoma, and even though the unit was technically out of warranty -- they immediately shipped me a brand new replacement at no charge. I was also allowed to just return the broken unit to my local W-S store, instead of hassling with boxing & shipping. W-S may not always have the best prices, but they certainly offer great customer service!
