I t has been a few weeks since I last posted, since most announcements were made during our classes.

Last Monday was Quiz 3. Those who missed it are responsible for making it up, BEFORE classtime.
This Friday will be Quiz 3 for that section.

By this time, ALL of you should have completed and turned in Project 1, and be close to wrapping up Project 2. The third Project is neither simple nor quick: it involves spending some serious time learning about your sound package, so expect to spend some time at rental houses! It is NOT a project that you can do over the internet. You need to get working on this one ASAP, since it is complex and time consuming!

This week in class we will learn to record on the TASCAM HS-P82 recorder, so please read the manual that is on our site. The PDF version is more up to date than the online text, so use the link in the article to access the newer PDF. CSUN owns a P82, which can be used for Senior projects or 355 films. At some point, it would be nice to cover the newer Sound Devices 688 package, but for now that package is being used by the senior projects and is not available for classtime yet.
